Superb series of space station life. Although some criticize the 'stationary' nature of this series, it's examination of live in a microcosm is great. Leadership lessons abound.

its a nice addition to the b5 universe.
i understand some of the criticisms of the reviewers but you have to take into account the restrictions with which jms had to work.
the budget is very obviously very small and as such i believe he has done a good job
how do you write and produce a good sci fi on a shoestring
if you look at the majority of the big american sci fi series and then compare it to what he had to work with on the original series and even more so on this,i defy anyone to do a better job
i feel that these days most people want to see action and fast punchy story lines all the time ,b5 was always a bit different becuase although it had action there was always a cerebral quality to the stories.
these stories are just a natural continuation of that and im disappointed with some of the reviewers lack of insight on this
why does everything thing have to be scintillating and fantastic - why cant people enjoy things for what they are, they are lost tales - not b5 episodes, why does everything have to be the best thing you have ever seen or complete rubbish, ant some things just be good.
there is also an experimental aspect to this as the short tales have been put out there to see how they will do and as such im hoping not just for more tales, but a higher budget and bigger storylines
and one last rant ,i dont understand reviewers complaining about the religous overtones of the tales,
jms and bab5 has always done this -what are the stories of soulcatchers about if not religion, nimbari souls being reborn into humans the second maybe a but of a thin example but with a bit of thought i could come up with many other storylines that could be construed as religous to one extent or another
jms has never shyed away from difficult or taboo subjects
i enjoyed the lost tales for what they are, unexpected bab5 bonuses after several years that we did not know were coming
and i hope for as many more as possible

Enjoyable couple of mini episodes. The first episode suffers a little from starring Elizabeth Lochley, who I never really warmed to in season 5 anyway, but has some good moments, and an intriguing premise. I preferred the second episode, with Sheridan on very good form (I was surprised how funny some of the dialogue is) , and a good plot. The (too) brief glimpse of a babylon 5 battle, as realised by 2007 CGI, looked absolutely fantastic.
This DVD is worth buying on it's own merits, but as an investment for seeing more B5, it is essential for most real SF fans.

I have been a fan since the series began and have all 5 seasons on DVD plus TV movies. I eagerly awaited this DVD, but found it considerably less interesting, in story terms, than the original series or the novels. I found the strong religious theme of the first half **very** offputting, and the story did not even seem to relate to anything in the Babylon 5 universe so far. The attempt to tell two stories in 69 minutes means that neither is well developed, and a single story based on filling in the story arc would have been a better idea.

Patience is a virtue, order was delayed and has now been dispatched to me.

This DVD is well worth the wait of an extra couple of days, fills in gaps left in the story after the end of Season 5 and expands the background nicely. Have been waiting for more good Babylon 5 for years now it's arrived.
