This game is by far the best game for PS3. The graphics are of a decent standard and the plot is just as good as the game play, which is saying a lot considering the realistic approach to modern warfare with each level having a slightly different feel.
The online play is a good concept incorporating classes and many different game modes with relatively little lag. The only problem I can find for this game is the sense of hopelessness during online play when no matter what you do; you are guaranteed to end up being mowed down by geeky gamers who are deadly efficient at killing casual gamers.

Just completed it after many attempts. What a game! Even though I've completed it the online gaming keeps the game alive.

The graphics, playability, sounds and options are all amazing. My advice is to turn the sound up to max and feel your heartbeat increase.

Can't wait to get my hands on the next installment. Keep them coming!!

This is an excellent game. Slick, addictive, and has bundles of long term game play. Buy it! Buy it now!! (But don't pay nearly a thousand pounds as it's currently priced at.... Whoops!)

It takes a very impressive game to get a 5 star review from me. And Call of Duty 4 is only the second. This game is worth ??45 to date. You can spend hours of gameplay on it on or offline and be impressed 24/7. I never got sick of this game offline - the campaign is one of the most graphically advanced I have seen and online play cannot be beaten. You will not need any other FPS if you have Call of Duty 4.
Some people might think I am going over the top, but this game is the greatest I have played in a long time and it seems like the producers actually worked for hours on it and cared what we thought of it. There are so many games coming out right now, but not many are 5 Star worthy. Out of all the releases to date I can only name 3 games that are worth full price. Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3 and Oblivion. I have these games and don't need anymore.
I would fully reccomend this game to anyone playing online or off because it never gets old.
