I have been using my Chillow for at least three years now and wouldn't be without it. I always drop off to sleep really quickly with the Chillow and it is great for headaches and hangovers. Because of the way the Chillow works - taking the heat away from your head - it can become warm during the night, however the solution to this is to have a spare pillow to hand to swap over, should you need it. By the time you next wake up your Chillow is cooled and ready to use again, which is a delight in the morning if you want to make the most of your last hour of sleep. I actually own two Chillows so I always have a spare cooled one to hand if a cool pillow is not enough. I have no complaints about it and really miss it if I forget to take it with me when I am away from home. I used to wish that someone would invent a product to keep your pillow cool and was amazed when I found that someone actually had. It is a fantastic product and I wholeheartedly recommend buying one, or for the best results, a double pack.

I had a problem filling the chillow pillow, but I emailed the chillow people via the email address on the paperwork that comes with it, and they gave me reassuring instructions back as to what to do, I think I was just over worrying about getting it wrong.

Anyway it is very cool to touch, and we find they dont fold up and get twisted like other people have stated, they must be fighting with it in the night or something to get it like that??? We use ours on top of the pillow to keep cool at night, it's that cool I find myself going for a lie down whenever I'm hot at home because of the chillow, also it's very good on large areas of skin like back, chest and thighs to really cool you down quickly.

Would reccommend to other hot, warm, flushed, sun burnt, feverish people who want relief, or people who just find the summers that little bit too warm.

According to all the promotional blurb the chillow sounds like the perfect answer to the age old problem of keeping your pillow cool, the trouble is it only works for a short amount of time.
Like others I have suffered from having to repeatedly turn over my warm pillow in bed until I finally fell asleep, and even if it meant spending ??25 to have a nice cool pillow it would have been money well spent. And for the first 15 minutes the chillow does everything it promises, the trouble is after 15 minutes the chillow soon takes on your body temperature and rapidly turns from a cool soothing pillow into a warm sweaty sticky plastic sheet which is far more uncomfortable than a warm pillow would ever be. On two occasions I have even woken up in the middle of the night boiling hot and with a splitting headache as I have overheated while asleep on the chillow.
For short term use on sprains, headaches, hot flushes, back pain, etc... the chillow probably works quite well, but for using a method to keep your head cool while sleeping it is a complete and utter waste of money.
Taking into account that all the chillow is actually made of is a 10mm thick plastic pillow filled with a sheet of foam to which you add 3.3 pints of water, I decided to make my own.
I bought a rubberised inflatable camping pillow from an online camping retailer for ??2.99 (the old style square type, red on one side blue on the other), a small funnel for 99p. Filled the pillow with water using the small funnel, and now I have a water filled pillow that stays cool for about 8 hours, from the moment my head hits the pillow to the time I wake up. I have never slept better in all my life and my 'homemade chillow' only cost me ??3.98!

I bought a chillow pillow several months ago. It is easy to use and really does work! Have found it particularly helpful in giving relief from headaches and also eczema. Like the other reviewers would like a smaller, lighter version for travelling.

I bought these as always find it so difficult to find a cool patch on my own pillow; also I cannot stand the humidity we now get in the UK during our summers.

Have only had for a few days but have certainly seemed to have had the best night's sleep I've had for a while. My son who is a restless sleeper asked if he could use one as he is in the small bedroom, he slept very well, however, his chillow pillow was all creased. My husband said 'that was a good buy - you'll never get the creases out of that!" however, by following the instructions to fix the problem the pillow is like new! I agree with the other reviewer a smaller version would help those of us who want to take on holiday as it is rather heavy. An excellent product!
