Same experience as previous reviewer: ordered and paid for tinned version as Xmas pressie but received only cardboard pack and too late to return. Contents still as good but disappointing not to get what I thought I ordered, so - be careful!

I ordered this from one of the companies on Amazon marketplace, and what turned up is very defnitely NOT a tin. It's the plain vanilla box set. Unfortunately, I ordered it too close to Christmas to have time to send it back.

Rather then rambling on this is really a observation. { as there cant be many people who have not seen the Movies }

This collectors tin is stunning in fact the whole design is just pure ' Classy ' although I think the designer has got a bit carried away with himself/herself

None of the disk's are titled with which film is on which dvd - I am not a designer so perhaps this is the current trend but as a Consumer I would like a hint.

Perhaps the dvd's are in the order that they are listed on the back but as I don't have time to mess about inserting six dvd's it would have been a lot better if the title were displayed on each Disk.

Perhaps its a game in the form of a puzzle ? I just dont know

This set is basically the same as the boxed set also sold by Amazon, but wrapped neatly in a tin.

The set comprises of 5 films (THE PINK PANTHER, A SHOT IN THE DARK, THE PINK PANTHER STRIKES AGAIN, REVENGE OF THE PINK PANTHER, and TRAIL OF THE PINK PANTHER) plus a host of documentaries and 6 of the original Pink Panther cartoons.

To be honest, even without the extras the collection is worth the asking price, just to see Peter Sellers fantastic comedy inspector bumbling through the film. But then you include some pretty comprehensive material featuring the man himself and the story behind the music and direction and you have the ultimate package (minus the missing film which you'll need to buy seperately).

The films look like they've been cleaned up and are probably in the best state you'll ever get to see them, the sound is clear, if not anything to be blown away by (the same for most films of this age).

If you want to see where all the decent jokes from the new movie came from (and how they were done far better the first time around) or just see some fantastic films, you can't go wrong with this set.

And it's currently cheaper than the non-tin box too!
