As another reviewer said, this is a decent simulation of the WTCC, but the championship itself doesn't deliver the most exciting of racing experiences. The cars are just not that powerful, and tracks like Monza are just too big for them. However, this game does have Macau, which is a very challenging track even in these cars. Unfortunately though, the AI is not great, and this shows up particularly at Macau. The cars brake in odd places, take about 5 seconds longer than they should to get round the hairpin, and you pull over to let someone by under blue flags they will quite often just slam into the back of you instead of driving round!
Almost as good as GTR2 - Reviewed on 2007-09-08

Having played virtually allracing games available for most consoles and PC's, I know a good one when I see one. This is an excellent one. Graphics are good (however you do need a powerful PC to run it), gameplay good, handling realistic.
As other people have said, there is a lot of fiddling about to set the cars up, but so do most other good games.
The only downside with this game is having to use Steam. Whilst most people have an internet connection now to their PC, it is still a pain to setup and run, as you have to go through that each time.
Apart from that, an excellent game well worth adding to your collection.
A good race sim from the makers of GT Legends and the GTR games. - Reviewed on 2007-01-20

This is a good racing game based on the WTCC series, if you have played any of the GTR games or GT Legends this game shares a lot in common with those titles. Setting up the game, especially if you have a steering wheel can take a while and involves a bit of trial and error. The Steam program is fairly straight forward and if you have Half-Life 2 you will already be familiar with it.

This is the finest simulation of WTCC out there, showing off Simbin's usual attention to detail in the physics department. Why then, I hear you say, did I only give it 3 stars for fun? It's not a fault of the simulation, but with the formula itself, for game purposes. You see, compared to driving the large capacity cars of GTR, GTR2 and GT Legends, this simulation is slightly underwhelming. Yes, the BMW (praise be) is rear wheel drive, but with just 2 litres and slick tires it's virtually impossible to break traction under acceleration, even out of sharp corners. They feel like road cars. Unless you're an avid fan of WTCC, I doubt you will be satisfied. It's almost as if Simbin have realised this and have done a rushed job, as the game has a few ruff edges. I would only really recommend this if you're a WTCC fan or have not played Simbin's other excellent Sims.

this game is good, needs alot of fiddling with the settings to get it to work, then again so did gtr2. as for steam it just means you can not register the game if you do not have an internet connection, therefore no internet do not buy. the game looks good and plays well, i also think the extra races are very good especially the minis. all in all persistance in getting the settings right will pay off as this is a good game.
