doc martin is dead, the show has jumped the shark, and looks as if the shark ate all the main characters we loved to know. its now very slow and boring so stay away from series 3 youll be glad you did.

I'm pretty hard to please when it comes to TV drama but this show has hit all the right buttons.
Clunes is just superb as the cermudgenly doctor Martin Ellingham with some of the best put down lines I've ever heard. These are, however second to his facial expressions and his physical manner, his walk in particular is just so wonderfully superior.
The rest of the characters in the series are brilliantly observed and receive a good deal of development. Particular mention should be made of the village bobby, Mark Milo, Aunty Joan and especially Caroline Catz as the village school teacher Louisa Glasson. The continued will-they, won't-they situation between her and the Doc. is excrutiating but also wonderful to watch.
The series is not all comedy however, there are some touching moments too and it is this mix of comedy and pathos which contributes to what is about the best drama on British television at present.

Could this be the rudest GP in Britain?
Martin Clunes plays Doc Martin and his no nonsense style of Doctoring is hilarious. His skills on the romantic side leave a lot to be desired too.
Great location, great cast and a really funny series from start to finish.
