If you missed out on the hype-machine that is Halo and its successor (if so, how the Hell did you manage that?) then this is a fantastic opportunity to catch up. Halo is still as awesome today as it was when it was released about 4 years ago. An engrossing storyline and some sumptuous visuals go to make on hell of a game. It's no walk-over, so you'll be tied to it for some time, especially if you decide to take it on at Legendary level. Halo 2's single player mode has come in for some criticism, given that it feels 'unfinished'. You get the feeling that there was more to come, but the bosses at Bungie said "Leave it for the sequel". Halo 2 is really all about one thing - Xbox LIVE multiplayer. This is something that it does phenomenally well - so well that it is still the most popular LIVE game released. It's also Xbox 360 compatible, so those who have upgraded to the 360 will still be able to enjoy its charms, with graphical enhancements to boot. As an online experience, Halo 2 is peerless. The extra multiplayer levels available in the Add On disc in this triple pack ARE downloadable via Xbox LIVE - but for those without LIVE, it's a bonus. Be warned - the competition out there is fierce. Expect no mercy. So what are you waiting for? Go and buy it. Now.
