The Catherine Tate show is an original, very funny, non-repetetive show from the geniusses at the BBC. The characters in this show are likeable and aren't irritating. You could watch this all day and not get bored or frustrated. I hope this series goes on forever, as it will never get monotonous.

Yes, I'm being sarcastic. It's as bad as everyone says.

Wow...I Cannot Belive That All My Time, Peviously Watching Little Britain Has Been Scandalously Wasted. - I Should Have Been Watching This Instead. Catherine Tate Has Incredible Versitality In Her Characters, And The Script Will Have You In Stitches - Just Like Paul && Sam [The Excited Couple]! My Favourite Characters Are: Lauren - Who Is Never Really Bothered, Nan - Who Refers To Everyone As A "****ing Liberty!", Promiscuous Nurse Bernie, The Hillarious Office Workers - Who WILL Keep You Guessing! And Of Course, Not Forgetting My Personal Favourite - The Highly Underrated Aga Saga Woman! Catherine Tate Oozes With Personality And Talent, And If You Think This Is Great, She Gets Better Each Series!

The first series of the greatest comedy ever!!!
Far better than little britian!

A self-titled sketch show from the Perrier-nominated comedian. This hilarious series is a menagerie of instantly recognisable characters, from the Hollywood actress with an over-enthusiastic penchant for botox to the screaming housewife who hollers every time her toast jumps from the toaster. Characters from everyday life are parodied to the extreme as the talented actress morphs through ages, accents and wigs. The critics are hailing Tate as the most exciting female comic performer around.

It is well her stories and acting that make her fab and the fact she can actually change her acent!!!

And is surely one of the funniest women in comedy. The different personalities are observed and portrayed so well it is incredible. Full marks to her make-up artists as well, their work is important with such a multitude of characters, the one moment she is a teenager with a bad attitude, the next an ageing "Nan" with a much worse attitude! Catherine Tate is drop-dead gorgeous in one scene and and bordering on ugly in the next. That's just the looks though, her comedy is innovative and excellent and leagues better than a lot of the stuff produced today by others in my opinion. She knows every comedy trick in the book and plays them all and then some.

Life is too short to not have some laughs, Catherine Tate has prolonged mine by a fair bit!
The funniest sketch show you will ever ever see...honestly!!! Are you bovvered??? YOU SHOULD BE!!! - Reviewed on 2006-12-19

Why do so many people kick Catherine Tate down? She is an amazing comedienne/actress who deserves all the awards and grammys which she is recieving. She is bright, beautiful and very very funny in the things she does!!! And lets get one thing straight-She does not rip off Little Britain! If anything Catherine Tate's sketch show is much better than David Walliam's and Matt Lucas'es because she doesn't have to resort to foul and extremely gruesome gags to up the ante. She is genuin and uses wit and hilarity to booste the laughs which are churned out of every sketch. How can Britain not fall in love with memorable catchphrase firing charracters such as Chav teenager Lauren 'Am I Bovvered?' Foul Mouthed Nan Taylor 'What a !*$!&*! Liberty!!!' or Sam and Paul, the incredibly excited Essex lovers 'You Are Gonna Die When I Tell You What Hapened To Me Today!!!' and my favourite charracter by far, Bernie, the love-mad Irish Nurse 'Were Not Allowed Pets In This Hospital, But I've Had A Cockatoo If You Know What I Mean!!!'
So yes, instead of slagging off Miss Tate and her fans, why not actually buy the dvd, sit down for a couple of hours and actually savouring the jokes!!!
