In a nutshell:
The second expansion pack for The Sims 2 makes the Sims??? pleasure your leisure. It adds in a special new neighbourhood called Downtown, packed to the gills with restaurants, bowling alleys, shops, parks, karaoke bars and clubs. You can visit them alone, go in a group, or take that special Sim out for a dream date.

The lowdown:
Whether you???re trying to organise a romantic date for two or a boisterous girls night out, your time spent in Downtown is constantly being appraised: commit one faux pas too many, and the timer will run out and you???ll be left with a deflated Sim and an inflated drinks bills. Your Sim can now scope out a room to check for compatible partners, while other more random additions include a new "pleasure life" aspiration, cars, garages and, rather oddly, vampires.

Most exciting moment:
Engineering the perfect date and getting an extra use out of your new car. Ooh, and indeed, er.

Since you ask:
Not counting online title World of WarCraft, The Sims 2 is the best selling PC game in the world ever.

The bottom line:
Another generously stacked expansion pack for your little computer people.

I don't own any other Sims 2 expansions so I can't really compare it to much, but I did find that it contributed very little considering the price.

The only real perks of owning this is that you can own a car (far too much hype about this considering it's merely there for aesthetic purposes), the ability to become a vampire, and extra places to visit 'downtown', which all look the same anyway..

However, some of the new objects are quite impressive (especially for those who like turning their sims homes into pent houses and clubs!) and the two new hair styles were desperately needed.

All in all, I'd only recommend this game to a dedicated Sims fan and not to the casual gamer. Personally I'm looking forward to getting my hands on apartment life and open for business!

Sims 2 Nightlife IS AMAZING!! I really enjoy playing on it. You can get cars, go 'Downtown', where you can go out for meal or go dancing or SOMETHING like that - also there are lots more new items - and a new asperation too.

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!! It is a very fun game where you make a family and look after them, watch them grow up and do fun things with them. I would highly recommend it!

Nightlifes great, especily since you can make 'groups' and go out dining. Normally, dining on OFB is on your own but on this one you can go out with whoever. and are you sick of having a married couple, a teen and a dog and you want the copule to go out together without the teen or dog but they all come? in this you dont have that. I love having vampires, although they cant age which is anoying.

I have had this game for a while. I think The whole Sims collection is brilliant but this is one of my favourite expansion packs.
The variety in this game is amazing and not only can you visit downtown for a night out but you can buy a car, go on dream dates, even become a vampire!
As for people who say this game doesn't work? I don't agree. It will work, provided you have met the requirements. It says what these are on the back of the box!
Sims does use a lot of memory and I would recommend having a decent graphics card. I have a microsoft computer with windows XP and it works perfectly. Basically just check you have what it says.
Otherwise I love this game. If you have played Sims before and liked it then you will love this. If you haven't played Sims before then you should try it.
You need Sims 2 to be able to play this game.
