Is MOH taking a turn for the worst? - Reviewed on 2007-08-10
Rating: ★ ★ ★ 3 out of 5

I'm starting to get worried about which direction Medal of Honor is taking. After playing both Vanguard and European Assault, I feel MOH is starting to "dumb down" a little. Firstly, the game is very short, and you can probably finish it in a day or two of playing. What happened to the great long classics of the previous MOH games? Secondly, completing objectives gives you a "revive," which means that you come back to life if you die. This makes completing missions easy, as it doesn't matter if you die, making the game terribly unrealistic. In previous games, if you die one corner before the end its tough, and I feel this is how it should be. Thirdly, the whole of the game is played on foot, and I am sure many people would liked to have seen vehicles used, as in previous MOH games.

However, the game is good and I like the fact that you can fight as a team and control your squad mates. I also like the adrenaline feature, as it adds a touch of realism to the game. Overall, a solid game but MOH is definitely not what is used to be.

im being really charitable by giving 3 stars.faults are:- too short (finished it in an afternoon), new 'revive' which means that for every task you complete, you collect a revive.then, if you die, you 'revive' back to life-pathetic. only buy if you are a die hard medal of honor fan and feel the need to keep your collection up to date (in other words, dont bother)
Very good for mutiplayer and singleplayer - Reviewed on 2006-08-23

i got this game a year ago and i still play it now becuase the muitplayer is so fun. The intial storyline is that you are a secret agent, and you have to aid the various allies to stop the germans.

Good points
The singleplayer backgrounds are good and variated - fight in Africa, France, Russia and Belgium.
The singleplayer missions are fun amd are in my view better than the 'Rising Sun' missions.
Mutiplayer maps are more creative and more open than the 'Rising Sun' maps- leading to endless possibilitys of where to go.
Graphics are good.
A certain amount of thinking is involved

Bad points
No co-op missions are available
No AI characters in mutiplayer

And thats about it. So if you have friends, or just enjoy lighthearted games;then buy this game.

I have always followed the MOH games and I have always enjoyed them, this one didn't let me down. It has good graphics, good game play, challenging and an all round good game. If you have played the other MOH games I would recommend you buy this one. You get good value for your money. Also with this game you are not only by yourself in the game you have other soldiers around you so you feel more as a team as too a one man army.
