Ive never really been a fan of Mariah, but when i heard we belong together i really loved the song! So i got The Emancipation of mimi and its really good. Lots of the tracks are rnb but some are slow ballads. I have to say i love most of the songs!! shake it off, get your number, one and only, to the floor, its like that, are the ones to get you up and dance! We belong together, your girl, sprung, mine again are the love ballads. Ive gotta say i love this album, i cant stop listening to it! Mariah has done a good come back with this, her voice is amazing as always, its well worth buying! Brilliant!

I have to say I didn't expect to enjoy this half as much as her old stuff but I think I've been proved wrong!!!I love sooo many tracks on here including Like That, Mine Again, I wish you knew, We belong together and Circles...Its actually full of romantic and smooth love songs...Nothing like Hero or My All but much better than anything else these other artists are churning out...And you have to admire her writing her own material and her staying power!!!I love Mariah and my cd collection would be soooooo incomplete without her!!! Two thumbs up!!!

it has to be said, this is no way near in the same league as music box or other albums in that era.

many of the songs do sound the same, and there arnt really any powerful tracks but nevertheless, its a nice album with a few good numbers. it is like an extension of rainbow, with faster beats, more featured artists, and less pure vocals.

if you want to hear real mariah, buy her earlier albums, and then this, because this only compliments her former material, it doesnt add. still, as i said, its got a few good tracks so its not that bad!! enjoy..

No matter what Mariah has been through in life ive always like her music, but considering she's been away from the music scene for a few years this album is some comeback and i can it's well worth the wait.
In my opinion there is honestly not a bad track on the whole album, if anything it could do with a few more.
On this album Mariah work with some of the hottest stars in music like Jermaine Dupri, Snoop, Nelly, Twista and more.

So if your into good classic r&b and Mariah at her BEST make up your own mind go out and buy this album cuz trust me you wont be disappointed as it's worth EVERY penny.

THE VOICE IS BACK, AND I'M GLAD TO FINALLY HAVE A NEW ALBUM FROM MARIAH! I only just got the album on the 4th April but after listening to it it's denfinately growing on me :)
