one of my favorite type of game is point and click, so when i saw this for sale at a very cheap price i bought it immediatly. and then i found out why it was so cheap.
firstly the plot made absolutly no sence. next the puzzles made as much sence as the plot, the 3d graphics really failed to impress (you could only tell someone was talking because their head was nodding), the screens were to dark to see anything like items and the voice acting was the worst i've ever heard. you could put the words into a voice simulator(like hawkings uses) and better results.
i would stay away from this one if i were you.

I liked this game upto the 4-5 hours mark. After that it kept crashing at random. There's no support worth a damn to be had anywhere.

Normally a game crashing doesn't bother me (spot the non-console gamer here!) but when saving involves 14 key/mouse presses and takes 2-3 minutes you'll, hopefully, understand why I gave up. I don't mind getting killed by puzzles (much) but randomly having your progress snuffed out just wore me down. It was an interesting story with absolutely awful voice-acting (mainly) but the crashes just sickened me after a while.

I went to the official site and got no help, pretty much learning that the devs had fulfilled their contract and moved on.

Very Enjoyable. - Reviewed on 2005-11-19

I didn't have any issues with running the game, other programmes starting, crashes or anything - this is probably just luck on my system setup but it warrants saying.

Legacy is basically a pointy-clicky adventure game in the Broken Sword style (though it is a completely different genre) where you make your way through various scenarios, carrying out various tasks to get closer to your ultimate goal. As with all these games it relies upon storyline (which is interesting but very complicated), puzzles (which are usually not very challenging) and a charismatic lead character (it probably helps if you find Russian accents sexy). There are very few points in this game where you don't know what you should be doing - the puzzles are not that complicated.

The real strength of the game is the atmosphere which is wonderful, it is clearly meant to mimic BladeRunner in certain ways and achieves this rather well, the cut scenes and movies are superb and you really become involved in the world. There are issues with the game, the dialogue can be a bit clunky and it can be a tad illogical until you get into the developers mindset, (and the story is explained as you go along) but these are really not serious issues.

Legacy is a budget game so lacks the 'polish' of alot of products however if you look past that there is something worth playign beneath. If you are the kind of gamer who can't cope outside of the corporate gaming bubble then you are best leaving this alone. If you fancy a little slice of something different then this is worth a shout.

And that horrible song when you exit is just sooooo catchy!!!

lets see, took 18 attempts to load, then crashed repeatedly. This game is like some kind of eastern european school IT project, terrible dialogue, terrible interface, no plot, cruddy graphics. DONT BOTHER!

I bought this game mainly because of the price but after playing it for about and hour - I wanted my money back!!
Besides the dubious time spent in loading the game and the fact that whilst loading it launched photo and media programs - I persevered hoping that the game would be worth waiting for.
I could not have been more wrong! There is no explanation of what you have to do and I found myself moving the character aimlessly around the levels hoping that something would start to make sense! I was even more confused to start as a male soldier in a WWII bunker, open up a box and then be transported to Mars as a woman! The game makes no sense. I am sure had I wasted another couple of hours on this game the storyline would have become clearer - but to be honest - I would have rather pulled out my own teeth.
The game is now in the bin and there it shall stay.
Oh yeah - and to top it all - it crashed twice whilst I was playing it and caused my PC to go into DOS mode - buy this game at your peril!
