As I'd missed the last three series of Xena when it was originally on TV - and didn't fancy purchasing the volumes separately (I'm sure that all of the series would have come to a higher price than the box set) I decided to get this.
What a good decision it was.
The box consists of a hard cardboard sleeve, with a book-type insert that houses the discs. Four discs are mounted on each page with the type of spindle that you find inside cd cases. Each page has a montage of different scenes from the episodes on the back.
The numbering of the episodes can be a little confusing, so if you don't remember which disc you last watched, you can sometimes accidentally skip a disc!
There are usually four episodes per disc, with the last of the series volumes being two or three episodes (depending on how big a volume is).
Other than a few photo galleries there are no special features, but it is still worth the purchase, especially if you have missed episodes.
A complete list of episode names adorns the back of the box.
