First off, this game is ok, but nothing special. You team is sooo unbeleivably stupid. The graphics are Average, but not what you expect from an Xbox game. The packaging is misleading as on the back It shows excellent graphics and scenery which are noware to be found in the game. I purchased the game from Gamestation for 37.99, a crime when it is on Amazon for a measly 14 squids. It is priced correctly on Amazon for what it is,a budget game. I don't know how the Marines use this as a training tool, you character or team don't seem to have any clip, and can walk through objects enemies, and even you! Buy it if you are looking for a cheap game, as it is quite good.

With a gamplay similar to the Black Arrow series this is a worthy FPS. Graphics aren't fabulous but do the job. Controller configuration is fine except that in order to run you have to double tap the left thumbstick upwards which was frustrating, I found myself trying to avoid running if possible. Controlling your teammates is refreshingly simple, all very intuitive alowing you to use them effectively rather than feeling like theyre just tagging along like so many other team games. A lot of reviews on the web I read said that the troops you control do not do what theyre told a lot of the time but provided you dont rush, you can keep their health/disipline etc at a high level(your buddies have discipline & morale meters which are depleted if you expect them all to be rambo clones) I found that they ALWAYS did what they were told. All in all a worthy bash.

O.K. a realistic military shooter that incorporates the true to life tactics of the US Marines currently in Iraq and Afghanistan. Well it is unfortunate when one has to give only 3 stars to not only something that sounds so good on paper, but something that he had also been waiting for for quite some time. Allow me to explain:
Think back to the PC, and then think of the Delta Force games, pretty bad aren't they in comparison to modern day combat games. However First to Fight has copied these games in some respects. Firstly the rifle is almost glued into position on the screen, it follows your screen wherever it goes. This may sound like what every FPS game does but this does it in such a strange way that the game already loses a lot of authenticity, it feels so fake.
The reload action is quite smooth and adds a little realism but not much, it is a bit too slow, especially given that this man is supposedly a highly trained US Marine. Royal Marines would be doing that reload action in half the time. It just seems as though this man can't be bothered to do it, even when buulets are flying around. Which brings me onto another point. The scope is useful and looks good when zoomed , but, when not zoomed you have a Halo like reticule that brings about as much accuracy as a blind folded drunk and thats at about 1.5 meters distance. I simply can't believe the number of times that I appeared not to hit the enemy at all at such close range.
As for the character models, well your Marines aren't too bad, quite fluid and human like you do get a sense from their movement that these guys are genuine Marines. The enemy however are almost exactly like those that you would see out of a Delta Force game. Very rigid, non-life-like, their deaths are almost all exactly the same, no real variation even if you shoot them in different places. As for their appearance, well they're all the same really. Don't expect to be looking at a graphically good game here. Everything is simply too fake, too Delta Force and given that this is a new release on something as powerful as the Xbox the graphics in some cases are close to being unacceptable.
Sound isn't too bad, but once again after the first few missions you will have heard it all. The orchestra that jumps out of the woodwork every time that you initiate a Door Breach is simply annoying because it is too repetative. Weapon sounds are good as are most of the environmental sounds. Your Marines are........well they are actually really disappointing. One sounds like a Stereotypical lumbrjack, the others are just boring and monotonous. You're voice has some character but it repeats the same thing over and over again.
The tactics of the game, which is essentially what the game is all about, are as with the rest of the game DISAPPOINTING. The catch phrase of the game goes something like, 'If there's a Marine watching your back then you're fine', that isn't it obviously, but you get the idea of it. The idea is that your teams formation provides 360 degree security. Well it doesn't really. Enemies will shoot you and your team won't even respond until you fire back or kill him (and thats in an area that they are supposed to be watching). Different formations are pre-programmed into the game and it is satisfying to see your team form a double column without having to be told, but the novelty wares off pretty soon when you realise that there are only about 4 or 5 formations.
Overall this game isn't that great. The graphics are really not good enough and are really the cause of this game losing so much authenticity as well as the enemy charcters being so rigid. The sound isn't too bad but it isn't anything special. The gameplay is simply not exciting in the least and no I am not some Geek who spends hours a day completing Halo 2 and Doom 3. I actually want to join the Royal Marines when I am older. As you can imagine I was pretty excited to hear about this game, but well I am pretty shattered by what has been set before me.
