I am thoroughly disappointed with this programme. I am a music teacher and was hoping to use it as an inspirational tool in classroom teaching. This game does not assess your singing skills. It is a computer game in that you have to move arrow keys when the screen tells you to and if you do this at the correct moment then your character sings more in tune. The jukebox is not really so. It doesn't include any singers on the tracks, just the backing tracks. There are no professional vocals on any tracks and there's no assessment of your own singing. If you want something that focuses on pitch and your singing via a microphone, then try the X Factor programme. Do not buy this if you want to improve your singing or for any other educational purpose. It is a complete and utter rip off.

On installation, I did encounter a glitch which required a patch download from the Codemasters website, the game itself is excellent. It is so true to life, it's spot on. I take my hat off to the team responsible for this game at Codemasters, as I think that they're months of hard work have certainly paid off. In my opinion, I think that anybody who loves the ITV1 series will love this game, and use it again and again.

My 6 year old likes this because she can sing along but everybody else is bored stupid of it, there is no depth to it and the gameplay is simplistic beyond belief, I'd give you a fiver for it.. actually no I wouldn't...........
Serious Software Problem With an ATI graphics card - Reviewed on 2004-01-07

My daughter begged me to load this on my Mesh computer running XP home. No problem I thought with a good spec computer - more than meeting the recommended requirements. First it wouldn't load. I checked Codemaster's site where they admitted problems & suggested patches with ATI 9000 series graphics cards. Downloaded these & it worked. Got through game second time round & it locked. It destroyed vital system files resulting in me having to load XP operating system again!! Lost everything & took 2 days to sort. Complained to Codemasters who replied saying "thank you for your comments".
Do not load this software if you are running XP Home & have an ATI 9000 series graphics card - there are some serious flaws with this software!

We bought this game for Christmas for our Daughter only to find that there's a wide range of video cards that are not supported. This causes the game to fail to load after the initial menus are displayed and is therefore useless to us. My PC is only 6 months old and runs WinXP.
It's a great shame this type of additional info was not available at the point of purchase.
