I just don't get this movie. Yes, there are some funny one liners from Allen, but this is NOT a five star movie in my humble opinion. Sorry!

Many Woody Allen films are often overrated in terms of how funny they are as opposed to how good they as films. Here is one of his best that is extremely good and very funny. Allen is at his best and Dianne Keaton is superb.

this movie is hilarious, especially the end! If you like the allen/keaton duo, this is a great film :) highly recommend it

WA was at the height of his powers when he made that one -- sadly, all his recent films are a disappointment.

This is not Woody Allen's most sophisticated film but certainly, in my opinion, his most enjoyable.Both Allen and Keaton have a ball playing bored husband and wife Carol and Larry Lipton who stumble across the suspected murder of a neighbour and from that point on comes some of Allen's funniest scenes and greatest one liners.The supporting cast is great with Alan Alda and Anjelica both playing great turns,the locations are all New York as you would expect and there is a superb jazzy score - Benny Goodman, Dave Brubeck amongst others which just adds to the already highly enjoyable mix.
But really this is Keaton and Allen' show and they are superb.How many actresses can make Allen look like he's the straight guy ? Diane Keaton can that's for sure.The chemistry between the two is pure magic. This is a film that you can watch over and over again and get as much enjoyment from each viewing.
